This was our last project in the 'Art Club' we had the chance to design and make a colourful 3d bird. We used wire to make the shape and then covered it with mod-roc, for some of us this was the first time we had used this material and boy was it a little messy! There was a bit of waiting time with this project as we had to wait for it to dry before adding our bright colours to the bird.

For the detail we used black ink and a fine paint brush, this was quite difficult and you needed a steady hand...

We wanted to show the birds in their native environment so we looked around school for a suitable place to photograph them and they look great!

Find the birds displayed in the foyer cabinet until the end of May 2015.
